When it comes to Halloween, some places are more treat than trick.

WalletHub has come out with its list of the 10 best and worst cities for Halloween. How'd they do it?

We compared the 100 largest U.S. cities across 16 key metrics, ranging from the number of costume stores per capita to the average cost of a Halloween party ticket to the best and worst weather forecasts for Halloween."

With that said, the number one city is...New York. Yup, the Big Apple is the best place to be on the holiday when apples give way to candy obtained during the ritual known as trick-or-treating. Jersey City and Newark, two cities right across the Hudson in New Jersey, took second and third, meaning the New York metropolitan area will be splendidly spooky for reasons that have nothing to do with the skyrocketing costs of crossing a bridge or tunnel to get into Manhattan.
