Christmas is right around the corner, and with that comes holiday traffic!

According to CBS, approximately 9.1 million Texans will travel during the Christmas holiday season.

With the holiday period starting Saturday, December 22nd through Tuesday, January 1st, 2019, the estimate is 4.3 percent higher than the number of travelers from a year ago according to AAA of Texas.

On a National scale, about 112.5 travelers will ether drive, fly, or take the train during the holiday period which is 4.4 percent higher than last year.

Daniel Armbruster AAA Spokesman said in a statement,

With so many Texans and Americans on the road and in the air, it is important to pack your patience as many airports and freeways will be crowded during peak travel times.

During last year's holiday season the day's were shorter, as Christmas and New Year's Day was on Monday.
