AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson is planning to participate in the 50th annual Rolex 24 auto race in January at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, FL.

The event, which will take place on Jan. 28-29, is a 24-hour endurance race held on the speedway’s 3.56-mile road course.

Johnson will be part of a team of drivers that will include Tennessee businessman Byron DeFoor and two or three professional racers.  He will drive a vintage Riley race car.

Johnson documented his love of cars and racing in his book Rockers and Rollers: A Full-Throttle Memoir, which was published in the United States in May.
