With Steven Tyler as an American Idol judge, Aerosmith album sales are through the roof!

Are you ready for this?  According to The Hollywood Reporter, sales of AEROSMITH albums have jumped 250% since Tyler took a seat in the judge's chair.  Sales of two of their greatest hits albums -- 1994's Big Ones and 2004's Devil's Got A New Disguise: The Very Best of Aerosmith -- went up 260% and 146%, respectively, according to Nielsen SoundScan.  Two more greatest hits albums have had sales increase of 137% and 147%.  Prior to Tyler being on AI, sales of Aerosmith albums were slow, selling only 1,000 copies a week.
Furthermore, the band's smash hit, "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing," sold over 34,000 downloads for the week ending on January 30th.  Also, their 1973 single, "Dream On," was downloaded 26,000 times.

Taking this gig seems like a great idea now.  There's a new album in the works for th band too...you know they'll try to have that thing out soon!
