Aerosmith On Idol, Or NOT?
Steven Tyler said last week the full band will perform on next week’s final American Idol episode. Cool! We’ll see Joe Perry and everybody rockin’ the stage on a hyped up episode where the winner is crowned.
NOT SO FAST.
Joe Perry tweeted this week that they are not playing the show because producers never asked them. On top of that according to Joe, guitarist Brad Whitford has a gig with the Experience Hendrix tour that night. Joe also said that he’s “really looking forward to recording” with the band this July and August to finish their next album. When that is done, he said the band might play Idol next season, if asked.
Don’t Steven Tyler and Joe Perry every talk? Something tells us there is still an Idol appearance brewing this season for the band. Stay tuned.
