Carry on my Anthrax sons, there'll be peace when you are done! Anthrax have heard the demand from fans, watched the YouTube views skyrocket and even seen airplay from rock stations, but until Saturday night (April 22) they had never played their cover of Kansas' "Carry On Wayward Son" live.

Finally satiating the demand, during the band's Los Angeles stop, the group invited Fred Mandel to join them onstage for a performance of the song. Anthrax don't have a regular keyboard player, but Mandel, who played on the studio version of their cover, reprised his role live with the band.

Anthrax recorded their cover of the song as a bonus track added to the expanded vinyl edition of their For All Kings album. Anthrax have issued the For All Kings 7" box set, which is currently available for purchase. In addition to "Carry On Wayward Son," fans will also find a cover of The White Stripes' "Black Math" in the collection.

The band is currently in the midst of their "KillThrax" tour with Killswitch Engage. Dates will continue through May 7 before Anthrax jet off to Japan for shows with Megadeth. See all of Anthrax's scheduled shows here.
