Brown Eyes Are More Trustworthy Than Blue

Have you put much thought into the idea that your partner or sig other's eye color may be a sign whether they are likely to lie to you? Me neither. But apparently those of us with blue or green eyes are naturally more inclined to sneak around behind our partners' backs.

According to a new survey, brown eyes are more trustworthy than blue.

Researchers took pictures of 80 men and women and asked almost 250 volunteers to rate them. They found that brown-eyed faces were judged to be more trustworthy than the blue-eyed faces, and the women judged more trustworthy than the men.

So if you have a brown-eyed gal, you can trust that person with anything! Okay, we suppose it's all relative and we should use our own good judgment.

There's more to the story. Trustworthiness may have something to do with facial shape. Attractive faces were considered more trustworthy than those faces that might be considered not-so-attractive. So now, to our trustworthy brown-eyed face, we must add beauty before we know they're not telling a fib.

Perhaps this is why dogs are considered so trustworthy and loyal. They all have dark eyes!
