A number of familiar faces will be returning to New York City this November for the seventh annual ‘Stand Up for Heroes’ benefit concert. Bruce Springsteen, Roger Waters and ‘Daily Show’ host Jon Stewart are among a list of initially confirmed performers. Jerry Seinfeld will also perform, with more expected to be named later.

Springsteen, Waters and Stewart all attended last year’s concert at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. This year’s event is being moved to the much larger Madison Square Garden. Tickets for the Nov. 6 event are on sale now through the Bob Woodruff Foundation website.

The event raises money for wounded troops returning home from combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. Since its inception, over $16 million has been raised, including $3.5 million in 2012, the first year the concert was streamed via YouTube. Over 130,000 people tuned in to watch the music and comedy of acts like John Mayer, Ricky Gervais and Mike Birbiglia.

Bob Woodruff is a well-known journalist for ABC who was wounded when an improvised explosive device detonated while he was reporting on the Iraq war in 2006. He suffered a traumatic brain injury and has since recovered to return to ABC as well as oversee the foundation with the help of his wife Lee.

‘Stand Up for Heroes’ takes place during the New York Comedy Festival. Military, government and business leaders all come together to raise money. Almost everyone, down to the security staff, donate their time to the cause.
