Zooey Deschanel Mistakenly Connected to Boston Bombings

Imagine seeing your name on live television, as a suspect in the Boston bombings!

It happened to Zooey Deschanel, perhaps because of auto-correct. A closed-captioning sentence on a Fox affiliate last Friday said of the suspect, "He is 19-year-old Zooey Deschanel.” The suspect authorities were looking for was of course, 19-year-old Dzhokar Tsarnaev. There's a guy in Connecticut who has set out on a quest to meet each of his 788 Facebook friends, and take a picture with them doing their favorite activity. Whether it's horseback riding, playing basketball, or drinking beer, this guy will have a picture of each person doing that favorite thing on his Facebook page.

A few days ago, Stacey Faulkner tweeted a photograph of a dog potentially being mishandled by workers at a Lufkin Animal Shelter. That caught the attention of not only her own Twitter Followers, but also the attention of singer Rob Thomas of Matchbox 20.

The firestorm led to an investigation into the animal's treatment at Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter.

If you went to a website on Monday and you got an error message, chances are it wasn't your internet connection. A hacker group has claimed responsibility for shutting down Go Daddy-hosted sites and causing millions of small businesses to have a hard time functioning. Why?

Texas Boy Told He's Too Big to Play Football

Six feet tall and 300 pounds sounds like a good size to play football. But apparently that's too big at age 12, and in that case league rules say the boy will have to stay on the sidelines.

Fox Sports Southwest did a story that many media outlets are covering, on the 12-year old boy from Mesquite, near Dallas, who was told after a weigh-in Sunday that he wouldn't be able to play.
