Dairy Queen restaurants across East Texas will give you a free vanilla cone, and there's only one thing you have to do to get it.

When you ask a European for the sexiest accent in the world, most of them will say it's someone from the Deep South (from Georgia over to Louisiana). Texas is in a land all by itself, and that "Texan" accent ranks high too.

There are some years that Texas teams are a little thin during March Madness, but this year we'll be well-represented in the NCAA tournament. There are seven teams in the bracket, and two of them are playing each other this week in Dallas.

I'm all for packing a lunch to save time and money at work, but on the upcoming holiday that encourages all of us to brown bag it, there is one huge reason why we should totally rebel and grab food from a restaurant instead.
