Voters Head to the Polls for Texas Primary

Have you voted yet? Election officials in Angelina County say more than 5600 people voted early, in the two weeks prior to today's primary.

The race for Angelina County Sheriff is one to watch. On the Republican side voters will choose between Allen Hill and Greg Sanches. Jim Hodges runs unopposed as a Democrat for Sheriff.

‘Voting’ Is Your Way of Being Heard Loud & Clear In Angelina County

Was standing in an usually long line at the convenience store during today's lunch hour.  Thought I'd treat myself to some Cheetos and a rather runny "Icee" while waiting to get a gas receipt, when two men in front of me began a heated political exchange that somehow found its way to my quiet corner of life.

One of the men was substantially bigger than me, so when he asked my opinion about the upcoming presidential election, I felt that by not siding with him, my life would be in danger.  Just then the clerk said "next", and I became an immediate believer in guardian angels.

Mick Jagger, B.B. King And More Sing ‘Sweet Home Chicago’ With President Obama

Is it possible President Obama is looking to sing his way back into the White House this November? Last night the Commander in Chief was joined on stage by all all-star band that included Mick Jagger, Jeff Beck, B.B. King, Buddy Guy and Booker T. Jones. It took some convincing, but the President fronted the group of legends, if only for a few bars of ‘Sweet Home Chicago.’
