One of rock ’n’ roll’s greatest blueprinters, Chuck Berry, passed away over the weekend at the age of 90. In a new report, Berry’s personal doctor has identified the cause of death as “natural” adding there will be no autopsy performed.

The rock icon behind timeless cuts like “Johnny B. Goode” and “Maybellene” died on March 18 at his home in the St. Louis, Mo. area, where Chuck Berry was born in 1926. St. Charles County police released an official statement the day of Berry’s death, writing that first responders unsuccessfully administered lifesaving techniques before pronouncing the musician dead at 1:26 PM.

TMZ have just posted a report concerning Chuck Berry and his medical doctor. “We’re told Berry’s personal doctor will sign off on the death certificate that the cause of death was natural, and there will be no autopsy,” TMZ writes. “By the way, various diseases would still classify the cause of death as ‘natural.’”

Dozens of rock and metal musicians have paid tribute to Chuck Berry, including guitar icons like Slash, Alex Skolnick and Joe Perry.

We’d once again like to express our thanks for Chuck Berry’s iconic music along with our condolences to his family and loved ones.
