Classic Rock Q107 Remembers The Divinyls’ Singer Chrissy Amphett [VIDEO]

Between 1982 and 1996, The Divinyls made six albums, and like me, I'm willing to bet you can't name one LP, but I'm also willing to bet that you can sing the chorus of their top five single that was released in 1991.

The Divinyls lead singer, Chrissy Amphett, wasn't a household name either, but she was truly the signature voice of the band, and after a battle with multiple sclerosis and breast cancer, Amphett's voice now goes silent.

She likely won't be inaugurated into any music Hall of Fame, and her legacy will likely be that of working in a group producing a "one hit wonder", but I Touch Myself, is indeed a work of art, leaving an indelible mark in music history:
