If you don't really make New Year's Resolutions, you can join the ranks of Warren Haynes of The Allman Brothers Band. He says if he makes resolutions, they're usually tiny ones.

Haynes told ABC News that he usually doesn't make New Year's resolutions "other than little, small ones of…trying to improve yourself." Why doesn't he make the major commitments? He says, "I hate to disappoint myself."

E Street Band guitarist Nils Lofgren also talked to ABC News Radio and said one of his resolutions is to try to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

"Now that I'm 60 the obvious one is 'eat less sweets and work out more,'" he maintains. "That's a simple one that…I'll make every year and break quickly." Most of us have been there.

Lofgren gets a little deeper when he says he'd "just try to find some peace and spread it a little bit in my own small way. Just be grateful to be alive and hook into what's in front of me that's good and try to help my family and friends along the same path."

Happy New Year! May we all eat less sweets and enjoy our family and friends. Rock on.
