It appears that Clint Dempsey's spot on Team USA is no more.  The 32-year-old Nacogdoches native was dropped from the squad for their upcoming World Cup Qualifier games.

According to a report, USA's head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has dropped Dempsey ahead of the upcoming games against St. Vincent & the Grenadines and Trinidad & Tobago.  The report goes on to state that Coach Klinsmann indicated that he communicated to Dempsey about the decision and there are no ill feelings.  No comments were available as to whether Dempsey could still be included on the final World Cup roster.

You may recall that Klinsmann made the controversial decision to drop veteran Landon Donovan from Team USA in their last World Cup appearance.
