Former Hole frontwoman Courtney Love stars as the slain mother of notorious murderers Lyle and Erik Menendez in the new Lifetime movie, Menendez: Blood Brothers. You can get a small glimpse of her performance in the trailer above.

She plays Kitty Menendez who, along with her entertainment executive husband Jose, was killed by her two sons in 1989. The brothers were convicted of the murders in 1994, and are currently serving life sentences.

The made-for-TV movie, scheduled to premiere on June 11, focuses on the abuse the Menendez brothers suffered at the hands of their father, and their mother's inability to stop it. Nico Tortorella, Myko Olivier and Benito Martinez also star.

Love has previously appeared on TV, including in roles for Empire, Sons of Anarchy and Revengeand in films like Sid & NancyFeeling Minnesota, Man on the Moon and The People vs. Larry Flint. For the latter role, she received much critical praise, with Roger Ebert saying it was "quite a performance; Love proves she is not a rock star pretending to act, but a true actress."

According to NME, Love is currently working on her autobiography. She then has plans to work on a solo album that she described as "rocky but has 'beats'," adding, "Like how Lana Del Rey has beats. And Lorde has beats." Love toured with Del Rey in the summer of 2015.
