East Texas Health Fair Tuesday is August 7th in Lufkin

Better safe than sorry considering universal health care does not become effective until 2014, and for those without insurance, getting ahead of the curve may be just what the doctor ordered.

In conjunction with Neighborhood Network week, Lufkin's Memorial Medical Center, along with Pinewood Park Apartments, are co-hosting a health fair on Tuesday, August 7th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Come learn about diabetes management, stroke, heart disease, and nutrition, among other topics.  Don't forget to take advantage of a free blood pressure check.  Refreshments and door prizes will be available to participants.
