East Texas Offers Wine Sampling Festival

Texans love a good festival, and especially one that might offer a little buzz!

In ten days, we'll have the chance to see what the fuss is all about over East Texas wines, and do a little shopping and sampling too.

The Pineywoods Wine Festival is set for May 19th, and if you go, you'll not only be able to sample some East Texas wines, you'll also get some pointers on putting together a road trip to all of the best East Texas wineries. How fun would that be? You might need a designated driver if you're going to make an entire road trip of the wine sampling. But it would be a great way to see how Texans get creative with grapes.

The Pineywoods Wine Festival is right off I-30 in Mount Vernon, and they'll be open from 10am to 7pm on the 19th with vendors on hand like Scentsy, The Spicewood Food Company, and Silverleaf Resorts - Texas Travel and Tyler indoor park.

The Festival says The Piney Woods Wine Trail is the second largest in Texas and growing.
