Slipknot fans come in all shapes and sizes, and nowhere was this more apparent than this past weekend in Northampton, England. A Newcastle-based Slipknot cover band, Slipknowt, played a set during the festival, and enlisted the help of a police officer who was digging the band. You can see him singing the words to "Duality," and so when "Clown" jumped down into the crowd with his metal keg, he invited the officer to assist on percussion.

The cop is very clearly having a good time playing along with the cover band as he strikes the keg with his baton, and he's also joined by several other fans in the audience. One particular fan might've gotten a little too enthusiastic with the club, because when he hits the keg, the bat bounces back and strikes him square in the head and he falls to the ground. It's a strange, hilarious moment, seeing both this cop get into it and this poor guy totally mess up.

As for the cop's participation, one of his fellow officers told the Northampton Chronicle, "The crowd loved it. It just showed that human side to us, rather than us standing there with our arms crossed. I think it’s nice for them to see that we are there to enjoy it and to look after them."

Watching the video, you gotta wonder: What Does Corey Taylor Think? The long-running meme polluting comment sections and message boards across the internet recently took a turn when Corey Taylor actually commented on it in a recent interview.

“I think it’s hilarious,” he says. “It’s funny, because people act like I just toot my own f–king horn or chime in. I only give my opinion when people like you ask – I’m not online doing this sh-t. I think that meme is in reaction to the fact that my opinion gets picked up by a million f–kin’ media outlets, and then it’s turned into a thousand different news stories, and it’s taken so far out of f–king context that you have to trace it all the way back to the source material to figure out what’s being said.”
