FX’s Fargo may well give us a heart attack, if the excitement of every Season 3 star continues its upward trend. Were dual Ewan McGregors and Carrie Coon not enough to bring you back to Minnesota murder and mayhem, let us welcome Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Nikki Swango. NIKKI SWANGO.

Per FX’s official announcement, the BrainDead and 10 Cloverfield Lane favorite will take the Fargo Season 3 role of (and it bears repeating) Nikki Swango, described as “a crafty and alluring recent parolee with a passion for competitive bridge playing. Nikki is a woman with a plan, focused on always being at least one move ahead of her opponents.”

Elsewhere of Fargo Season 3, we know that Ewan McGregor will play the dual role of brothers Emmit and Ray Stussy, the former a good-looking “Parking Lot King of Minnesota,” and the latter a resentful, flabby parole officer. The Leftovers favorite Carrie Coon will also take a central role as Gloria Burgle, chief of the Eden Valley Police, and a newly divorced mother struggling to understand the phone-obsessed world around her.

The 2010-set season was also previously said to explore “selfie-oriented culture,” shooting later this year for a 2017 bow.

We’d almost dare the Fargo Season 3 cast to get better at this point, but knowing them, they probably will. What else should we hope for, from the Spring 2017 return?
