I know it's early, but I want to mention the Forest Country Job Fair rapidly approaching on Tuesday, May 22nd (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.), being presented by the Lufkin Chamber of Commerce .  Whether you are currently unemployed, or looking for new 'digs', then this may be a great step in the right direction.

But, be warned, you need to prepare yourself thoroughly for this type of event.  Know something about the organization.  Research assists you in deciding which employers you want to approach.  This will help determine if any match your career aspirations.  Heard of the saying "dress for success"?  Wear a flower child ensemble from the 1960's, and you better hope the company is looking for someone to become their events coordinator for the next Woodstock concert.  Also, be ready to engage in conversation.  It's okay not to mention that you are the Lufkin president of the Star Trek fan club!

Best of luck on your job hunt!
