Just a couple weeks ago I mentioned that McKinney, Texas was the recipient of being the second best place to live in the United States, that courtesy of CNN's Money Magazine.

In the news again today, McKinney this time is being recognized for having a gas line explosion causing fire and injuring a couple construction workers.

It happened at approximately 8:45 a.m. this morning, where flames were reported as being seen at least 15 miles away.

Early reports say a gas line exploded when an Atmos Energy crew accidentally ruptured a six inch line.

McKinney is located north of Dallas in Collin County (about 30 miles), and as of press time, about 1,000 people are still without power.
