Just the other day we saw our first official photo from Ghostbusters (minus the previous posed, publicity photos) and today we have the first four posters from the film, highlighting our new set of Ghostbusters in Paul Feig’s upcoming reboot.

These four new posters show off new looks at Abby (Melissa McCarthy), Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon), Erin (Kristen Wiig) and Patty (Leslie Jones) our modern day (and female) versions of Ray, Egon, Venkman and Winston. Here’s how each of these characters are described by director Paul Feig:

  • Erin Gilbert, a particle physicist, academic firebrand, spectral warrior.
  • Jillian Holtzmann, a nuclear engineer, munitions expert, and proton wrangler.
  • Abby Yates, a paranormal researcher, supernatural scientist, and entity trapper.
  • Patty Tolan, a ghost tracker, municipal historian, and metaphysical commando

It’s a weird choice to keep these awesome ladies in the shadows, when you’re trying to introduce them to new audiences. Why hide their faces? If you didn’t know better, you wouldn’t know that this was Kristen Wiig or Melissa McCarthy. Yes, these are teaser posters, but maybe they’re teasing a little too much. (There are some fun nods for fans though; the “2206” on Kate McKinnon’s proton pack is the same number as Dana’s apartment in the original film.)

With a new image and new posters, does this mean a new trailer is coming too? Nothing has been confirmed, but with both Star Wars and Sisters opening this weekend, it would make some sense.

In addition to the female stars, original cast members Bill Murray, Sigourney Weaver, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Annie Potts will all be returning to make cameos in this film.
