Gregg Allman Sidelined With Illness

Gregg Allman has been forced to cancel several solo shows because he's suffering from an upper respiratory ailment, according to Billboard.com.  The shows axed include 13 dates, stretching from an August 26 performance in Windsor, Connecticut, through a September 15 show in Fredericton, Canada.  The same condition cancelled several shows in June in Europe.  

The scheduled show this Wednesday at the 2011 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota is still on, but after that he's expected to be hospitalized for several days, and then will have to rest at home for four to six weeks.
