Greta Van Fleet released a new single, “When the Curtain Falls,” which has a good chance of appearing on their debut full-length album that's expected later this year.

You can listen to the new song below.

Guitarist Jake Kiszka said earlier this year that the rising Michigan band was nearing completion of the LP. “We’re in the mixing process, so it’s going to be quite soon,” he said.

“We had all these songs we wrote three to five years ago that we were just going to put on the album," bassist Sam Kiska added. "It very quickly became all new material, so I’d say about three-quarters of the songs are songs we wrote in the studio.”

The new track is likely to result in another round of comparisons with early Led Zeppelin. The band even received a nod from Robert Plant. However, Jason Bonham, who replaced his late father, John Bonham, at Zeppelin’s 2007 reunion show, recently sounded a note of caution.

“Just because [Josh Kiszka] sings high and he does his hand-on-the-hip thing, I just worry the hype that the band are getting, it will ruin them,” he said. “I wish them all the very best. People should just love them for what they are and not try and keep comparing them to Led Zeppelin, because it will kill them in the end. It will sometimes hurt them. Trust me – I know that, because, for me, it takes a hell of a lot when you play drums and your dad is John Bonham. The comparisons can sometimes be the hardest things to get past.”

Greta Van Fleet’s current U.S. tour continues, with dates until Oct. 11, followed by a visit to Europe and the U.K. from Oct. 26 to Nov. 15.
