Guns N' Roses paid a three-song tribute to AC/DC co-founder Malcolm Young during their show last night in Sacramento, California.

Axl Rose acknowledged the legendary guitarist's
death while
Slash played the opening guitar lines from
Alice Cooper's "Only Women Bleed." "We're gonna dedicate this to Mr. Malcolm Young, who will be sorely missed... by none more than his brother Angus." They then launched into their cover of
Bob Dylan's "Knockin' on Heaven's Door," and finally
AC/DC's "Whole Lotta Rosie."

They later posted a video of the performance on social media, reiterating the sentiment. "This goes out to Malcolm Young. He will be sorely missed.”

The band has performed all three songs regularly on this tour, and of course Rose has performed "Whole Lotta Rosie" with AC/DC. In 2016, he took over for singer Brian Johnson on the band's Rock or Bust tour after Johnson was warned by his physicians that he risked complete hearing loss if he didn't stop performing.

Malcolm Young was not a part of that AC/DC tour. In 2014, the group announced that he would have to step down from the band he co-founded more than 40 years earlier because he was battling dementia. He died yesterday following years of decline due to the disease, as well as lung cancer and a heart condition.
