We've all been in this position before: You're driving down the road, and you start hearing a steady THUD, THUD, THUD sound. You hang your head, and the thought, "I have a flat tire," goes through your mind.

Sometimes, that flat is as easy to handle as getting the tire plugged. Put in the plug, and you were good to go. However, sometimes it's not that easy. So, if you aren't sure how to tell if the tire can be salvaged or not, let's have a quick lesson.

If your tire looks like this, you probably won't want to be driving on it too much.

This tire was actually on a car, on the road, when the blowout occurred. Nope, not photoshopped, staged, etc. This was legitimately someone's tire on their car.

So, there you have it. If your tires look like that one, you need new tires. See? Learning new things isn't always too difficult. Check your tires, make sure they're good to go, and get back on the road.
