Although Steven Tyler is busy with American Idol these days, he still wants to get back in the studio at the end of January to start working on a new album, but he's having one problem.  He can't seem to get in touch with Joe Perry.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Tyler said, "I'm trying to rally the guys together," he says. "We're having trouble getting Joe [Perry]. I don't know where he is, but just come down to L.A. at the end of January sometime. I've had enough downtime."

This isn't all that surprising however.  The two have been having conflicts since 2009.  Perry has threatened to find a new front man for the band for the past couple of years.  Despite all this, Tyler said on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno that he still plans to round up the band to start work on a new album at the end January.  Aerosmith fans keep your fingers crossed!
