Report: ‘Iron Fist’ Season 2 Announcement Coming Soon

There’s no exact science to Marvel’s Netflix series announcing renewals, as both Jessica Jones and Luke Cage got pickups well after premiere day. Enthusiasm for Iron Fist isn’t anywhere near as high, but if you take Finn Jones’ word for it, we might get that Season 2 announcement before long.

Mind you, there’s little chance Marvel would scrap one of its most-viewed series after only one season, we may yet learn the fate of Iron Fist in the coming weeks. Twitter updates from Puerto Rico Comic-Con 2017 reportedly saw star Finn Jones confirming that an Iron Fist Season 2 announcement would arrive soon.

This isn’t the first time Jones has nodded toward a likely Season 2 renewal, as another recent convention appearance saw the former Game of Thrones star teasing a potential costume after The Defenders. Iron Fist co-star Sacha Dhawan also suggested a likely return not long after the series premiered.

It’s possible that a second Iron Fist season would wait until 2019 (next year has Jessica Jones and Luke Cage Season 2, as well as Daredevil Season 3, but is Finn Jones’ word as good as … well, Iron?
