Is Cursive Writing Over?

This is a pretty valuable photograph of some cursive writing...hand- written lyrics by John Lennon and Jimi Hendrix.

But does anyone use cursive anymore?  Let us guess.  You use hybrid cursive -- a lot of print with a few curvy letters here and there.  Most people use cursive when they sign their names on that electronic pad at the grocery store, and otherwise that's it!  We text, we email, we type, type type.

Is cursive a dead art?  English teachers sure hope not.  Whatever the case, hand-written lyrics with some nice scratched out cursive writing like this from John Lennon and Jimi Hendrix are rare, rare, rare.  If these two musical geniuses had written in 2011, it might have been in the form of notes inside their smartphone.
