Street cars aren't found everywhere, but there's one spot in Texas that's bringing the magic of the Trolley a little closer to home.  The reviews say it's a pretty magical experience.  Guys, if you're looking for a place to get romantic and nostalgic with your lovely wife, this is it.  Propose or something!

If you're looking for summer vacation ideas, there are two different trolley tours to take in Dallas, and Only In Your State.com says they're both worth the gas to get there.  If you're not looking to get romantic and propose on the trolley, it might be a great way to soak up a little Texas history instead.

The Dallas Trolley Tour is an 80 minute ride that stops at over 15 of Dallas' most famous attractions, including the Dallas Farmers Market and the Perot Nature and Science Museum.  So it's more than just a quick trolley ride and an Instagram moment.  It's a great way to see some Dallas highlights without having to find parking at each place. The trolley ride costs $24 for adults to experience it, and it's cheaper for kids.

Another trolley tour called the JFK Tour runs along the exact route President Kennedy took when he was assassinated in 1963. The tour guide covers the timeline of Lee Harvey Oswald's assassination plot and helps us experience that huge moment in history in a way that we probably haven't before.  This tour is $20 for adults, and it's pretty popular so book it early.

We've seen trolleys in the movies and while on vacation in San Francisco, but we don't always have the opportunity to ride the cars here in Texas.  And they used to be a chief mode of transportation. Texas has some magical, hidden gems, and it's nice to know these little pieces of history are still going strong in Dallas.

So enjoy this road trip idea, and we'll keep posting others throughout the summer.
