Tad Dorgan coined the "hot dog" phrase back in 1901, where the story is told, that at a baseball game in New Yok (that's the way most New Yorker's pronounce it), Dorgan could hear the vendors shouting "get your dachshund sausages while they're red hot".  He simply traded "dachshund" for "hot dog".

According to the hot dog and sausage oversight committee, seven million Americans will eat on average, 60 hot dogs between Memorial Day and Labor Day.  July 4th, by the way, is the biggest hot dog holiday.

Did anyone watch the Famous Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest?  Held each year on Independence Day, Joey Chestnut won the competition for the sixth time by downing 68 hot dogs in 10 minutes!

So, where you can get the BEST 'dog' in East Texas?
