New York appears to be Killswitch Engage's kind of town. The band will spend a week in New York City playing shows for fans as they kick off a month-and-a-half of North American performances.

The band is promoting their upcoming Incarnate album, due March 11 and the run of New York shows will start just ahead of the release and culminate on the album's actual street date. The fun starts March 6 at the Gramercy Theatre in Manhattan, followed by a show at the Bowery Ballroom (also in Manhattan) the following night (March 7).

After a day off in between, the band will play Brooklyn's Saint Vitus on March 9, Manhattan's Marlin Room at Webster Hall on March 10 and Brooklyn's Rough Trade on March 11. To make it worthwhile for fans interested in attending all of the shows, the group will perform a different new song off the Incarnate album at each show, giving that crowd the first opportunity to hear the song in a live setting.

The New York dates are part of a bigger run of touring for Killswitch Engage. After a one-off performance in Las Vegas on Feb. 11, the band will kick off their touring on March 6 with the first of the New York shows. The trek will then wind around North America before wrapping in Ladson, S.C., on April 24. After that, the band will get a breather before heading to Europe for festival season in June.
