After enjoying a bit of a break after the holidays, Korn officially kicked off their 2017 touring with an appearance at the newly relocated House of Blues venue in Anaheim, Calif. Sunday night (March 6). The show was the first of a two-night stand for the band at the venue and serves as a bit of a warm-up for the band who are jetting off to Europe for dates fairly soon.

Korn remain as fierce as ever, delivering the kind of show and performance that is unrivaled. The explosive 90-minute set kicked off with the pummeling "Right Now." "Here to Stay" and the new Serenity of Suffering track "Rotting in Vain" kept the energy high. The band had a little fun with "Coming Undone," working in some "We Will Rock You" beats from Queen to spice it up a little bit. Speaking of those fun little detours, during the fan favorite "Shoots and Ladders" the band extended the song transitioning into a portion of Metallica's "One," much to the delight of the crowd.

Turning the spotlight on the talents of Ray Luzier, the stickman delivered a killer drum solo that eventually set the stage for the song that really broke Korn to the masses, "Blind." Staying with the older favorites, the band rocked their way through "Twist" before the night's biggest moment.

As the band started to play "A Different World," the song's special guest Corey Taylor sauntered his way onto the stage. The Slipknot and Stone Sour singer traded aggressive vocals with Jonathan Davis and at the end of the song, Davis allowed Taylor to make the big announcement that Stone Sour would be joining Korn on tour this summer. "It's gonna be the party of the motherf--king century, do you feel it," Taylor stated to the crowd. Additional details on the tour, including support acts, were revealed Monday morning.

Finishing out the night, Korn concluded with a pair of their bigger hits -- "Falling Away From Me" and "Freak on a Leash" -- with the band giving everything they had and the audience leaving the House of Blues sufficiently rocked.
