After a break of nearly three weeks, Lita Ford is looking forward to getting back out on the road. In a new interview, Ford talks about what it was like being on the road for much of June and July on the ‘Rock of Ages’ Tour with Def Leppard and Poison.

“The first leg of the tour went by too quickly,” she told Brave Words and Bloody Knickles. “I guess I was having too much fun. I have really enjoyed seeing the fans shows singing along to the new songs from ‘Living Like A Runaway,’ that is a real turn on for me.”

The ‘Rock of Ages’ Tour starts up again tomorrow (Aug. 9) at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla. It will make its way across the country and down to Mexico before concluding on Sept. 15 at the Santa Barbara Bowl in Santa Barbara, Calif.

However, Ford, who recently reconciled with her former Runaways bandmates Joan Jett and Cherie Currie, was quick to spread the credit around. “And it doesn’t hurt that I have one of the hottest and best bands today; Mitch Perry, Marty O’Brien and Scot Coogan,” she continued.

“To the people in North America, here we come to rock your summer!!!”
