It’s time for our daily Logan update, courtesy of yet another photo from the upcoming Wolverine sequel. Director James Mangold and the film’s official Instagram account (cutely named “wponx”) have been releasing new teaser images every day for the last week or so, and today’s post confirms a heavily rumored villain (or villains, plural) that will probably make the very unwise decision of crossing paths with Hugh Jackman’s titular hero.

Following yesterday’s reveal of Stephen Merchant as Caliban, a new image from Logan confirms the involvement of the Reavers, a group of genetically-modified cyborg mutants led by Donald Pierce. Narcos star Boyd Holbrook is playing Pierce, a former elite member of the Hellfire Club who went on to form the Reavers.

Reavers are, as you can see, a militant group. In the comic-books, their mission is to destroy mutants (specifically the X-Men), and they conduct their operations in the style of commandos. They’ll certainly present a formidable threat in Logan, as new plot details recently revealed that the aging Wolverine is experiencing a decline in his regenerative abilities.

He won’t be alone, however: He’s joined by his old pal Professor Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart in what may also be his final appearance in the franchise) and a new, young mutant reportedly named Laura (and rumored to be X-23, a female clone of Wolverine).

Logan also stars Richard E. Grant as an evil scientist and hits theaters on March 3, 2017.
