The Lufkin Panthers are not just playing football on Friday evenings, they are also playing for the "Know Your Stats" campaign, which brings awareness to prostate cancer.

Teaming up with Memorial Medical Center-Lufkin, the hospital is hosting a complimentary breakfast at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, September 21.

Two local urologists will be available to answer your questions about the second leading cause of cancer deaths (behind lung cancer).

Panther Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Todd Quick, as well some of the players, will also be in attendance.

The cause is being led by Mike Haynes (Mike is not expected at this event), Pro Football Hall of Famer, and prostate cancer survivor.  You can help Mike spread the word by clicking here.
