A 6-year old girl was kidnapped on Tuesday, and eventually released near Hudson, and Lufkin police are still looking for the kidnapper.  The girl was put through quite an ordeal but was unhurt, and now police concentrate on the search for the suspect.

The owner of a pickup told police she left it running while she went into a daycare to pick up another daughter, and when she came out of the daycare she saw her truck headed down West Frank Avenue, with her 6-year old daughter in the back seat.

KTRE says it was a short time later that the girl was released at Bowers Mobile Park in Hudson, unharmed.  And the stolen Toyota Tundra was eventually found at Hudson Green Apartments.

The suspect has been described as a black man in his twenties, and anyone that can offer a tip should contact Lufkin police.  Detectives are investigating to see whether this theft is related to another stolen pickup earlier this week.
