At press time, Hurricane Isaac is stalled over New Orleans moving at a paltry six miles per hour, and while East Texas should get a pretty good soaking tomorrow (August 30), Lufkin is not expected to shelter evacuees.

That's the decision thus far from the state of Texas, but if rainfall amounts are expected to grossly increase, then Lufkin, as an evacuation site, may be in the cards.

Tomorrow's forecast will see a high temp of only 82, with isolated showers in the morning converting to steady thunderstorms in the afternoon.  Wind is expected to blow 20-30 mph, with peak gusts near 40.

Stay dry...it's still flu season.
