With so many celebrity deaths this year, it's almost common place to throw their obituaries to the back of the bus buried between global politics and college scandals.

Ernest Borgnine (McHale's Navy), Andy Griffith, Sherman Hemsley (The Jeffersons), and now  --   Chad Everett.

Just like Classic Rock, "Medical Center" was a television classic for those of us growing up in the '60's and '70's.  As doctor Joe Gannon, his character was much more than just M.D., as Everett added bedside manner and deep emotion to the cases he handled for over seven years (1969-1976) on the television series.  The role earned him two Golden Globes and one Emmy nomination.

Everett also guest starred on "Without A Trace", "The Love Boat", and "Murder She Wrote".

Here's remembering Chad Everett, who was 75, when he died on July 24.
