When you're in last place and have made minced meat of your payroll, plays like this are even funnier than they should be.

Miami Marlins pitcher Chad Qualls struck out New York Mets shortstop Omar Quintanilla with a runner on third to end the eighth inning of a tie game on Tuesday night. His reaction is pure comic gold. In fact, you can say he could barely stand to contain his enthusiasm.

Hmm -- we can only imagine how fired up Qualls would be if he struck out someone who wasn't batting .227 on a fourth place team. In the end, Qualls' performance was wasted, since the Mets won, 4-2, in 10 innings.
