Fans would pay good money just to see one of the many artists that took the stage during Saturday night’s (Nov. 17) Jimi Hendrix tribute concert at the Experience Music Project in Seattle, Wash. Amongst the dozen or so guitarists, Pearl Jam‘s Mike McCready left the biggest impression, according to reviews and confirmed in the below video of him playing ‘Voodoo Child’ with former Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan.

The Seattle Times reports that McCready’s short-and-sweet version of ‘Little Wing’ was the standout moment of a night that at times felt like a circus. He performance of ‘Voodoo Child’ is a spectacle of its own. Skip ahead to about the 3:25 mark to see McCready carry the song with his guitar behind his back. He keeps it that way, singing and hardly missing a chord, and then shreds through a solo.

Fan video footage of McCready, McKagan and Brandi Carlile performing ‘Machine Gun’ is also available. Additionally, Ernie Isley of the Isley Brothers, Vernon Reid of Living Colour and drummer Mike Musburger of the Posis appeared. The show began with Hendrix’s bass player Billy Cox on stage for four songs, including ‘Stone Free.’

The concert was arranged to celebrate the opening of a Hendrix exhibit at the Experience Music Project, which opened on Saturday. Nov. 27 will mark the guitarist’s 70th birthday.
