If you’re anything like me, it’s probably been a while since you were really excited for a Tim Burton movie. While movies like Big Eyes, Dark Shadows, and Alice in Wonderland all did either OK with critics or at the box office, Burton has made too many wonderful movies in his career for “OK” to feel like anything other than a disappointment. Thankfully, Burton seems to be back on track with Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children, a YA adaptation that brings together the conflict of the X-Men with the sense of childish wonder that only Burton can bring to bear.

So here’s a few things to help bridge the gap until Miss Peregrine hits theaters! First up is the above featurette on the fierce women of Burton’s film. While many movies like to promise tough female characters, when your star is Eva Green  —  and your supporting cast includes actors like Allison Janey and Dame Judi Dench  —  it’s safe to say that you will deliver one some of those promises.

Not interested in watching any more footage from the film? We’ve got you covered, too. Florence + The Machine has also released one of their contributions to the Miss Peregrim soundtrack, a track titled “Wish That You Wre Here” (not to be confused with the Pink Floyd song of a very similar name).

Here’s the full synopsis for the film:

From visionary director Tim Burton, and based upon the best-selling novel, comes an unforgettable motion picture experience. When Jake discovers clues to a mystery that spans alternate realities and times, he uncovers a secret refuge known as Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As he learns about the residents and their unusual abilities, Jake realizes that safety is an illusion, and danger lurks in the form of powerful, hidden enemies. Jake must figure out who is real, who can be trusted, and who he really is.

Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children stars Eva Green, Samuel L. Jackson, Asa Butterfield, and Ella Purnell, and will open everywhere on September 30, 2016.
