Six weeks after telling us that a super deluxe edition of 1997's Be Here Now was on the way, Oasis are telling us something new about the project. Today (Sept.2), they gave specific details on the extras that will be included in the box.

Over at their webstore, we learn that it contains the three CDs in the special edition and the original album on two 180-gram 12-inch vinyl LPs, with a download code for all the bonus content. The requisite book containing essays and photos is 12" x 12", hardcover and 52 pages long. There's a 12" white label sampler of six of the demos recorded on the Caribbean island of Mustique, a CD of Noel Gallagher's new mix of "D’You Know What I Mean?," a keychain, an art print and four postcards.

Arriving Oct. 7, the three compact discs include a remastered version of the original album, a collection of b-sides, live takes and demos and the Mustique demos, which have entered into the band's legend, in part because of the way Gallagher talked them up in the August 1996 issue of Select.

"I went to Mustique with Owen [Morris, producer of first two albums] with a digital eight-track and a keyboard to do the strings on," he said. "I played them on acoustic and Owen programmed the drums in. It's the first time I've ever done any demos, bar 'Live Forever' and 'Up in the Sky.' But it sounds good. 'My Big Mouth' sounds f---in' excellent, like a cannon going off in your head. There's about four like that, quite Stooges-like. Then there's the stuff in the vein of 'Don't Look Back in Anger,' and there's a couple of 'Wonderwall''s on there. 'It's Getting Better, Man' is like the big f---in' party tune, quite camp as well."

The super deluxe edition of Be Here Now will be released on Oct. 7. It's the third in their Chasing the Sun series of reissues.
