We missed it! Saturday was Record Store Day! Yes, the day you could have scored big on rare vinyl. Some folks I know lean toward the real verbiage surrounding records. They include disc, donut, platter, etc...
Thought It Would Be A Routine Trip To The Gas Station, But… [VIDEO]
About three weeks have passed since I met a man while filling up the tank of my 1974 lime green Pinto with 8-track player. Have you seen me driving around the city? By the way, want to thank Dornan and Clarice who were kind enough to push me out of the Timberland/Chestnut intersection last Saturday.
The man with the Arkansas license plate on his vehicle started complaining about nothing to do here. "Been visiting relatives for four days", he said. Must have been his wife in the front seat with his two children in the back. 10 years old I'm guessing. He continued his calm rant by telling me that in the small Arkansas community where he resided, there were far more attractions to attend. His disdain for the word "Lufkin" was evident, almost as if he had just swallowed a grasshopper.
Just One Thing Can Ruin a Nice Day at an East Texas Lake
Ladies, have you tried on a bathing suit yet? Guys, have you told your gal how great she looks in a bathing suit yet?
It’s almost time to head to East Texas lakes like Sam Rayburn, enjoy the sunshine, hang out with friends and family, float in a boat, and grill some great food. It all sounds like a great time, right?
Well, new research says there’s just one little thing that can ruin it for many women.

Is Your ‘Heart’ In The Right Place?
If you are a Classic Rock junkie, and you should be, you just may be categorized as a baby boomer -- between 43-62 years old. If that's the case, a 'heart' check-up should be on one of those to-do lists in the near future. Could you be a "Sat Fat" connoisseur? A "Remote Control" king...or queen? How about an "Elevator Rider" in a two-story building? Now that I have your attention...
