It’s looking like tonight’s ‘12-12-12‘ benefit show will be one to remember. Not only is Paul McCartney heavily rumored to be joining the living members of Nirvana onstage, but former Pink Floyd leader Roger Waters says he’s preparing a collaboration with Pearl Jam‘s Eddie Vedder for the broadcast.

During an appearance on ‘Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,’ Waters revealed, “We’re doing a little bit of ‘The Wall’ and a little bit of ‘Dark Side of the Moon.'” The rocker stated that his performance would cover such favorites as ‘Money,’ ‘Us and Them,’ and ‘Comfortably Numb,’ with Vedder taking part in the latter track.

Waters said of Vedder agreeing to join him, “I’m such a big fan of his work and we’ve been friends for a while, so it’s great that he’s going to join us.”

During his appearance, Waters also confirmed that it’s true that he’s planning a new studio album. The musician said the disc has the tentative title of ‘Heartland’ at the moment, but he also joked, “It’s called ‘I’ve Been Saying This for 19 Years, So Don’t Hold Your Breath.'” The disc would be Waters first solo offering since 1992’s ‘Amused to Death.’

The ’12-12-12′ Hurricane Sandy benefit is scheduled for tonight at New York’s Madison Square Garden and will also feature such rock heavyweights as the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, The Who and Eric Clapton among others.
