After police in Diboll pulled over a car, they became suspicious enough to call in the drug dogs, and that turned into a drug bust and the recovery of a big lump of cash.

Police recovered more than $17,000 in cash along with a small amount of drugs, after a recent traffic stop in Diboll.

Two men from Illinois were inside the car, and they got out and talked to officers but refused to let them search the car.  Deputies called in drug dogs which found positive signs for drugs, and at that point there was a lawful reason to search, according to KTRE.

Both men were arrested, but one was released.  The other was taken to the Angelina County jail, and charges are pending for both.

Doesn't this kinda make ya wonder what's going on in the car next to you on East Texas roads?  Drive safely.
