Wouldn't we all love to be in Cabo San Lucas to help celebrate Sammy Hagar's 70th birthday? The rocker has officially kicked off his week of celebrating his landmark birthday at his Cabo Wabo Cantina, but for those who can't make the trip, Hagar's birthday bash will be turned into a concert film documenting the activities that will screen in theaters on Dec. 5.

Fathom Events will host Red Til I'm Dead: Sammy Hagar's Rock-n-Roll Birthday Bash in select theaters across the country on Dec. 5, featuring highlights of the various performances. Nickelback's Chad Kroeger, Run-D.M.C.'s Darryl "DMC" McDaniels, Eddie Money and country superstar Toby Keith are among those set to perform. Meanwhile, Hagar's band The Circle will be playing throughout all of the scheduled shows, and Hellyeah's Vinnie Paul and celebrity chef Guy Fieri are also set to appear in the film.

Though Hagar's birthday is Oct. 13, the singer kicked off the festivities Monday night (Oct. 9) and posted a blog about the experience on his website. The singer admitted to having a sore throat, but his pals were around to lend a hand along with a very vocal audience. "Chad Kroeger sang 'Born on the Bayou,' Jerry Cantrell played and sang 'Man in the Box' and 'Rock 'n' Roll.' It was the loudest audience I've ever heard in the Cantina singing along to every song trying to help me out," says Hagar, who added that he was feeling better and had high hopes for the remainder of the week.

"I've been celebrating my birthday in Cabo for almost 30 years, and I couldn't begin to pick a favorite year," Hagar said while discussing the film screening. "I've had hundreds of friends who've come down to perform and party. Each year is packed with so many insane collaborations and moments that I'm just happy that the rest of the world can finally get in – and celebrate alongside us as it unfolds on the big screen."

Tickets will go on sale for Red Til I'm Dead beginning Oct. 27 via the Fathom Events website, which will also have a list of participating theaters. Check here once tickets become available.
