Saosin Preview First New Album With Singer Anthony Green in 13 Years

Frontman Anthony Green only appeared on one Saosin release, 2003’s Translating the Name EP, but his contributions made a lasting impression on fans of the post-hardcore outfit. More than a decade later (and seven years after the band’s last album), Green will return to his role as lead vocalist for Saosin’s forthcoming comeback album.

Today (Feb. 3), Saosin confirmed they will release a new album in 2016 and previewed a 30-second clip of new music (listen above). They have signed to Epitaph for the release, which is yet to receive a title or release date.

Green parted ways with Saosin in 2004, citing creative differences and later forming Circa Survive. He was replaced by Cove Reber, who appeared on the band's two full-length releases: their 2006 self-titled debut and 2009’s In Search of Solid Ground. Reber was fired from the band in 2010.

"Making this record was such a sentimental thing for me," Green said in a press release. "You can literally hear us making amends with each other while lamenting on our experiences together. It was very healing and cathartic, and might be the heaviest thing I've been a part of since the first EP."
