Seen This Guy? DPS is Offering a Reward

A Center man has been added to the Texas Department of Public Safety's Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders list.

Doug Otis Sims is an East Texas native from Center, wanted now by police, and there is a $3000 reward offered for tips leading to his arrest.

Detectives say Sims has a violent criminal past that includes sexual assault of a child. He's wanted for failure to comply with sex offender registration and burglary too.

Sims has relatives and friends living in Center, Athens and Burnet, according to police and his past work includes time in the oil drilling industry.

He's described as 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 190 pounds. He has scars on his back and chest and has multiple tattoos, including "Andrew Samuel" on his lower left leg. He also has tribal art on his right hand, left arm and left leg.
